Actalent Scientific is Hiring!! Description: Provides waste management services to clients, including coordinating shipments, completing required paperwork for pick-ups, lab packing, conducting various facility inspections as required; performs sampling, evaluates and provides waste minimization opportunities; sets up brokering arrangements.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: + Schedules and attends client meetings to keep client apprised of operations; prepares monthly reports for client detailing activities. + Performs business development activities; participates in presentations to prospective clients and internal management; may develop proposals. + Performs project management functions, including hiring contractor for site projects, securing permits, ensuring compliance and coordinating production. + May be responsible for project billing and cost tracking operations. + Responds as needed to provided technical assistance on emergency response calls. + Proficient in the MMS computer system. + Directs Field Chemist I, Field Chemist II and Upper Level Field Chemists while performing on-site activities. + Responds to customer inquiries about company and company services. Qualifications: Education: Four year college degree or equivalent.
Environmental Science major preferred.
Experience: One to two years experience in the hazardous waste management industry.
Knowledge and Abilities: Thorough knowledge and understanding of all federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to the Environmental Services industry.
