Our client, a leader in their manufacturing industry, is looking to add a maintenance mechanic to their operations.
They have openings for
2nd and

3rd shifts
within their operation.
We are looking for individuals who have experience or their certification in maintenance/electrical fields.
These positions are long term/permanent job openings due to increases in business.
Description:
Gearbox technician will perform assembly and disassembly, set-up, and testing of industrial gear boxes. • Assembly of new and repaired gearboxes. • Disassemble geared products when necessary. • Accurately measure gears, shafts, housing bores for proper clearances with calibrated measuring tools. • Read assembly drawings. • Assemble shafts, gears, bearings, and lubrication systems. • Properly set-up gearboxes to ensure they meet specifications, tolerances, and other customer requirements. • Perform light welding. • Operate forklift and crane. • Conduct safe rigging of materials. • Replace dull cutting tools. • Check accuracy of work against blueprints and specifications. • Produce large quantities of parts. • Determine how automated equipment will cut apart. • Determine the cutting path. • Concert path, speed, and feed information into sets of instructions for a machine tool • Use manual and computer-controlled machinery. • Write basic programs. • Modify programs in response to problems. • Other duties as assigned.
Additional Skills &
Qualifications:
• Possess strong mechanical aptitude. • Prior experience in the repair of industrial equipment such as gearboxes, motors, pumps highly preferred. • Basic machining knowledge & use of inspection equipment (preferred) • Welding • Experience using a tow-motor, CDL is a plus. • Should be highly motivated, self-starter, reliable, trustworthy. • Good verbal and listening communication skills. • Able to pass OSHA training. • Basic math skills. • Able to read blueprints and the ability to troubleshoot problems with critical & analytical thinking. • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job without accommodation.
