: Competitive, Hourly Benefits: + Benefits Available and Vary per position and location. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: + Operators will spray invasive vegetation from a Hi Rail Vehicle and be responsible for daily activity reports, chemical mixing, inventory, customer service and overall performance of job duties as instructed while ensuring all work is performed safely and efficiently. Minimum
Qualifications: + Must be 18 years of age or older. + Must have the ability to work independently. + Some mechanical ability preferred. + Must be able to pass Herbicide Applicator License testing for multiple States in first year of employment.
Prep classes and study material provided by employer. Education & Experience + High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. + Experience driving a dual axle straight truck preferred. Pre-Screen + Upon offer, employees may be required to subject and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check. License & Certifications: + Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) class A or B required, with tanker endorsement. Travel Requirements: + Must be willing to travel throughout various states in the Eastern USA, with expenses and overtime compensation (minimum of 3-4 weeks at a time). Physical Requirements: +
RARE
(less than 10%): crawling, climbing poles, climbing ladders, climbing stairs. +
OCCASIONAL
(up to 33%): kneeling, squatting, speaking clearly, climbing on/off truck, reading, hearing-speech range, color vision, pushing, lifting over 50 lbs. +

(up to 66%): walking, sitting, stooping, body twisting, sense of touch, manual dexterity, seeing distant, lifting over 10 lbs.

Safety Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must have sufficient eyesight to judge distance/coordination of equipment and tools, be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods, be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day, have the endurance necessary to traverse various terrain, be capable of performing job duties throughout a standard 8- or 10-hour day, be able to communicate with others, read, write, and comprehend written/verbal job instructions and information, and communicate and handle conflict professionally. + Works in all temperatures and will be exposed to nature i.e., irritating plants and biting or stinging insects. + Works near energized parts or equipment. + Works in traffic. + Works around excessive noise from machines, jackhammers, gas drills, and other equipment with proper hearing protection. + Exposed to hazards of working near power equipment, traffic, high voltage wires, and falling limbs. About Us: As a full-service utility contractor Asplundh performs tree pruning and removals, right-of-way clearing and maintenance, vegetation management with herbicides and emergency storm work and logistical support.
Asplundh is the parent company of Asplundh Infrastructure Group whose subsidiaries provide overhead and underground line construction, planning and design, meter reading and AMR/AMI installation, electrical testing, and street lighting/traffic signal services.
Asplundh also operates Rotor Blade Airborne Utilities Management, overhead electric distribution and transmission lines using MD 500 helicopters.
