The Role
+ Assist in all phases of underground construction; site prep, excavation, filling, backfilling, hand digging, site clean-up, loading, unloading, and positioning equipment, shoring or bracing, placing underground utilities, placing and/or removing asphalt or concrete + Maintain proper care of all job sites, vehicles, and equipment + Operate and work around heavy equipment and machinery + Maintain safe working habits and work conditions, according to all regulations, procedures, and company safety standards + Other duties as assigned Requirements + 6+ months of relevant underground construction experience required + Valid Driver’s License required, Class A CDL a plus + Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen) + Ability to learn to operate various types of utility vehicles and equipment + Ability to utilize hand and power tools properly + Ability to multi-task, shifting from one task to another without interruption + Ability to complete work indoors, outdoors, in tight spaces and elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, and working while standing up to 70% of the time + Ability to safely work and navigate various terrains and job sites + Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Employer All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
