We offer a leading line of vegetable seed for growers in the United States and Eastern Canada. PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT Provides superior customer service while representing Seedway LLC.Ensures company assets are utilized to produce the highest quality of seed. SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP Supervises, leads, and develops warehouse workers and production assistants. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Organizes the packaging plant and bins for efficient packaging and shipment of seed. Oversees cleanliness of plant, and grounds. Maintains a physical inventory of packaged products and seed. Communicates with Sales Manager regarding any potential problems or issues that would cause a delay in shipping. Preserves the value of all seed. Oversees daily operations of the facility. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. Performs all other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS Normally requires an Associate's degree in agriculture, or the equivalent thereof, and 5 years or more of agricultural industry related work experience to demonstrate leadership ability and project management skills. Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record. Normally requires a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Continuously exposed or required to: Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.) Noisy conditions Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures May be required to work at varying heights Confined spaces Lift 71-100 lbs. Required to push heavy objects Ability to work extended hours. Ability to travel independently and overnight. Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
