A valid CDL (Commercial Driver License) Class A is not required for this position.
Day-to-Day Role: + Follow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements.
+ Follow practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company quality standards + Follow and commit to safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) + Operate a yard truck or tractor with or without a trailer within Dart property lines, never traveling on a public roadway + Couple, uncouple, connect airlines, etc.
and safely maneuver equipment in difficult situations such as narrow passageways + Conduct visual inspections of tractor and trailer and perform preventative maintenance checks and services of truck and trailer.
Report any malfunctions to supervisor and maintenance staff.
+ Coordinate with warehouse staff as needed regarding dock management, routing and sequencing of trailers or freight + Assist with loading or unloading freight or product manually or via forklift, lift truck or pallet jack + Support Operational Excellence and effectively participate in lean initiatives and problem solving activities as needed Core Skills and
Qualifications: The ideal candidate must possess all of the following: + Valid driver’s license and favorable driving record upon hiring and ability to maintain both throughout duration of employment + Six (6) months prior warehouse, material handling or PIT operations experience + Ability to obtain and maintain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) license + Ability to observe, follow, understand, and evaluate processes demonstrated and other workplace procedures + Ability to meet safety, quality and service standards + Professional written and verbal communication skills + Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues Preferred Skills and
Qualifications: + Valid CDL (Commercial Driver License) Class A upon hiring and ability to maintain throughout duration of employment + One (1) year tractor-trailer experience + Physically Qualified under U.S.
