Apprentice:
Assists in the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical system lines, substations, and other components as an Apprentice Lineman.
Apprentice:
Completes TVPPA apprentice program requirements.
Assists or completes tasks under the supervision of a Lineman as part of a crew engaged in the construction, installation, repair, and maintenance of substations, transmission lines, underground and overhead primary distribution and secondary electrical lines, transformers, and poles.
Monitors work area to ensure the safety of other crewmembers, the public, and equipment and other property.
Gathers materials and equipment as directed by work orders and engineers drawings for the construction and/or installation of improvements and changes to the electric system.
Stocks trucks for daily activities.
Responds to emergency weather and other events; assists with power outage restorations as needed.
Flags traffic at work sites.
Performs related duties.
Both positions:
18 year or older.
HS Diploma, GED and/or equivalent work experience.
Valid Drivers license.
Possession of or ability to obtain CDL.
Sufficient experience associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having held a similar position for one to two years.
