Pay based on experience | 1860 335th Street, Missouri Valley, IA, USA | Full Time AGRILAND FS is looking for a strong leadership and business focused individual with retail agronomy knowledge and experience to join our team.
As a member of our AGRILAND FS Team, this individual will direct operational employee development, coordinate product and service distribution, and supervise location managers across a group of our locations in Western Iowa, with a focus on constantly and consistently improving efficiency and profitability. Core Responsibilities: + Manage, coach, and lead AGRILAND FS location operations, location managers, and customer service team members, with a focus on excellent customer satisfaction, maximizing efficiencies, and managing distribution costs and inventory + Provide proactive leadership for training and developmental plans that continue to improve operations and customer service across all locations + Work closely with location managers to identify and implement best practices to manage location expenses and drive improved efficiency and profitability, leading to overall strong financial performance for each location + Lead the development and implementation of company equipment and facility maintenance programs + Maintain and demonstrate knowledge of all AGRILAND FS products and services, including energy, agronomy, and seed, and provide operational and technical information to location managers and customer service teams + Work with location managers to ensure all facilities are secure and that safety and regulatory plans are in place and followed at all locations What we need from you: + Bachelor's degree in business or 8-10 years of equivalent experience + Experience and/or strong understanding of retail agronomy preferred + Strong leadership and communication skills (verbal and written) + Outstanding business skills, with experience in budgeting and inventory, with a focus on growth and profitability + Mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving skills + Solid organizational skills with the ability to multi-task + Valid driver's license, with the ability to travel as needed + Must have or be able to obtain and maintain Custom Applicator License and Class A CDL with endorsements + Able to perform physical tasks, such as lift a minimum of 60 pounds and position that product in any area; climb ladders, stairs, steps, and walk on platforms at required heights to perform duties as required; and get in to and out of, as well as operate, all required vehicles and equipment What we offer our team: + Winning culture with a strategy of updated equipment and facilities to meet the needs of our customers + A company vehicle and computer + Solid retirement future with a 100% company-funded Pension Plan at no cost to you, plus an additional 401k with company match + Paid time off and paid holidays + Competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and more + Opportunity to make an immediate impact with a strong team dedicated to success + Rewards for success Are you a good match to join the AGRILAND FS Team as an Area Operations Manager for Western Iowa based in Underwood?
