The Town of Southampton is seeking a qualified individual to work Full Time as an Automotive Equipment Operator.
40 hours per week in our Highway Department.
This position is responsible for a broad range of duties including, but not limited to, drive, maneuver or control machinery and equipment; operating power equipment; ensure safety standards are met; clean, maintain, and make basic repairs to equipment; check to make sure that equipment functions properly.
As well as, perform manual work such as loading or unloading, shoveling snow, removing debris from roadside, set flags and barricades, and other related duties.
The candidate must be flexible and be able to work both independently and with other staff members.
Candidates are required to hold a valid New York State Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Class B.
Must be maintained throughout employment in this position.
