They prepare, load, deliver, exchange, remove, transport, and unload (full and empty) residential carts/containers to customer locations within approximately 70 miles of the work location hub.
Safe driving is crucial when traveling and maneuvering the truck in high traffic / congested roadways, driveways, alleyways, and lots around other vehicles and under highlines.
A high level of skill especially regarding backing maneuvers is essential to being successful as a cart delivery driver.
Cart / Container Delivery is a position that does not immediately require a CDL.
It is a nice first step toward earning a CDL and allows for some hands-on training and experience.
A successful driver in this position that attains their CDL may be considered for a heavier truck route and position.
