DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES (SUMMARY)The Center Manager is directly responsible for working with the Administrative staff of the agency to provide an environment that meets the requirements of OHS Regulations.
Fulfills requirements specified by the state licensure system.
Is responsible for supervising all center staff and working with the Early Head Start Site Manager to facilitate the smooth operation of the Center.
Observe and monitor classrooms to ensure positive guidance techniques.
Shares responsibility for the training and technical assistance of the staff they supervise.
Performs other related duties as needed or assigned.Cont'd on Attachment: Yes [X] No [ ]QUALIFICATIONS:A.
Minimum General Education: Teacher II/Center Manager: Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
Teacher III/ Center Manager: Bachelor's Degree or Graduate Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
Center Manager: Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.B.
Minimum Work Experience: At least two years experience in a preschool program desired; experience working in the field of Early Childhood Education preferred.C.
Other: Excellent written and verbal skills required.
Demonstrated leadership and management skills required.
Valid SC driver's license with acceptable driving record required; CDL preferred.
Must be able to lift 60 lbs, stoop, kneel, run, jump, and move without any limitations.
