Ebeid Children's Hospital (ECH) and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio are excited to announce the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, a mobile medical clinic designed to provide pediatric primary care services to patients in northwest Ohio. The Care Mobile will provide children and families access to a wide range of pediatric services and educational tools with the goal of connecting patients back to a primary care provider in the community.
The services provided by the mobile clinic will include immunizations, well checks, education, and hearing/vision screenings for children up to 18 years old, but with a focus on infants to six years of age.
The Care Mobile includes two patient exam rooms, a waiting area and a medical records area.
It will be staffed and operated by medical professionals from ECH. Position Summary: The Driver for the Mobile Care Unit will be responsible for transportation of the team members and mobile health unit to and from scheduled sites of care.
They will provide support to team members on site as well as oversight of the program vehicle and their maintenance and patient check-in procedures.
Additional duties may include, but are not limited to: Safe environment is monitored and maintained according to license and organizational policy and procedures.
Reports safety events in reporting system. Establishes and maintains a safe environment for all clients within the mobile care unit by wearing seatbelts, operating vehicles safely and obeying the rules of the road Utilizes appropriate emergency resources as directed (for vehicle accidents or client incidents) Assists in the transport of patients on and off the mobile care unit (both wheelchair lift and the main stairs) Assists the mobile care unit operation, as well as maintenance oversight of the program's mobile health vehicle Assists with the daily and routine maintenance- tasks of the mobile care unit Must have High School Diploma or equivalent Must have a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class B with air brakes, and a current valid Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certification card Minimum of 1 year previous experience driving large vehicles Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos and maps. Excellent costumer service and communication skills Must be able to tolerate exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, temperature changes, and exposure to blood borne pathogens and bodily fluids The above list of accountabilities is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by the positions; it should not be considered exhaustive.
