Requirements: Job Purpose and Reporting Structure: Under the
direction of the Mobile Medical Unit and School Based Program Clinics
Manager, the Mobile Health Unit Driver is responsible for operating a
38-foot RV-style vehicle, transporting it to and from offsite clinics
and events throughout Milwaukee County.
The mobile unit delivers
clinical health services, including but not limited to vaccinations,
nutritional counseling, and chronic disease management.
These clinics
are held at various locations within Milwaukee County.
While
collaborations generally occur during regular business hours, special
events may take place outside of these hours, including evenings and
weekends.
The Mobile Health Unit Driver ensures the safe transport of
the vehicle and equipment to offsite locations and assists the team with
setting up and taking down the clinic, as well as providing onsite
operational support.
A Class C license and Department of Transportation
(DOT) Medical Card are required.
A CDL license is preferred but not
mandatory.
This is a part-time position.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities: Operate a large motor vehicle for transportation,
pick-up, and disposal duties.
Ensure the mobile unit is parked in a safe
location, away from traffic and other hazards.
Pick up and dispose of
trash appropriately.
Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks, including
reporting any defects or equipment malfunctions.
Assist the mobile unit
clinical team with the setup and take down of clinics.
Pack and secure
supplies and equipment for mobile clinics to prevent damage during
transport.
Assist with loading and unloading the mobile unit.
Operate
the awning/canopy for clinic events.
Dispose of bio-hazardous waste in
compliance with safety regulations.
Provide operational support during,
before, and after offsite clinics.
Set up and break down interior clinic
equipment.
Escort and direct clients at clinic locations as needed.
Connect the mobile unit to electrical power sources and ensure proper
operation of the electrical panel and batteries during events.
Refuel
the mobile unit as required.
Maintain route schedules and adjust for
traffic or weather conditions to ensure timely arrival.
Assist with
cleaning and maintaining a safe, clean environment inside the mobile
unit.
Demonstrate the ability to work independently and efficiently
under pressure, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Be at least 21 years old; Pre-employment drug test is required; Valid
Wisconsin driver's license, current certificate of vehicle insurance,
