Job requires the operation of various tractors and farm equipment to
till soil; work ground; prepare and maintain land; and plant, fertilize,
irrigate, spray, cultivate, harvest, transport crops to elevator or
storage area and bag silage as needed; mowing, raking, baling, and
hauling hay.
Equipment that workers may be required to operate includes,
but is not limited to, tractors with various implements, equipment that
utilizes GPS and auto-guidance systems, sprayers, combines, back-hoes,
mowers, track-hoes; spreaders, tillage equipment, dirt moving equipment,
bush hog, swather, skid steer, payloader, rake, baler, chain saw, dry
spreader, grinder/feed wagon, ATV/UTS and farm trucks with trailer
attached.
Non CDL farm trucks will be loaded with agricultural products
and driven on the farm and to storage facilities.
Job requires
participating in irrigation activities including laying pipe, walking
length of irrigation pipe to puncture it at set intervals, setting up
and operating irrigation equipment, clearing and maintaining irrigation
ditches, operating well motors, operating and maintaining pivots,
draining excess water from fields, and monitoring fields to check on and
maintain adequate water supply to crops.
Job requires tending to
livestock in the forms of feeding, examining, tagging, herding, building
and repairing property borders as needed.
Manual duties include loading
seed into planters; properly mixing chemicals; loading chemicals into
sprayers; changing combine cutting heads; rouging fields and using hand
tools to remove undesirable plant varieties, trash, and other objects
from fields; performing general maintenance, repairs and/or clean-up of
storage sheds, pivot points, buildings, and all farm equipment; ensuring
operational areas are organized and well maintained; using hand tools
and equipment to repair, clean and maintain farm vehicles, machinery and
specialized machinery and agricultural equipment; regularly servicing
equipment; tree removal and trimming as needed around the worksite;
receiving crop for drying and storage at grain storage facility;
disposing of spoiled grain; transporting grain from fields to grain
bins; loading and unloading grain into trucks while keeping grain level;
operating augers and grain conveying equipment; monitoring grain
moisture levels; preparing scale tickets; and shoveling grain.
There are
few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or
locations often and engage in various general functions.
Daily duties
may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions.
The employer
reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on
tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the
discretion of the employer.

Housing is provided.
Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence is
also offered.
Transportation will be provided at no cost to workers,
from employer-provided housing and, if applicable, centralized pick-up
points to the places of employment at the beginning of each workday and
back at the end of each work day.
