QUALIFICATIONS The successful candidate's most important qualifications include the following. Entry to mid-level of experience in Air and Hydro Vacuum Excavation (SUE Locating), preferred. Entry to mid-level of understanding of utility locating methods such as buried telephone, fiber optic cable, coaxial cable, power (electric), gas, water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, etc., preferred. Entry to mid-level level of experience in reading and interpreting DOT, municipal, and other plans/prints to identify type and size of underground utilities. Valid Driver's License required. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) a plus. Survey experience a plus. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a team. Motivation to work in a dynamic environment with strict deadlines. Commitment to perform responsibilities consistent with industry standards to achieve department and company goals. Interest in developing relationships with clients, partners, and local organizations to remain a trusted resource in the community. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Locate, designate, and mark underground utilities via all quality levels within prescribed quality/accuracy limits. Perform Level A (QL-A) SUE locating via nondestructive techniques (i.e., digging TestHoles and soil excavation, etc.) with a high-pressure air/hydro wand, concrete saws, core drills, and vacuum hose systems to determine precise horizontal, vertical position, size, and type of underground utilities. Perform Level B (QL-B) SUE designating via electromagnetic equipment (pipe/cable locators) to determine existence and horizontal position of underground utilities.
Perform Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) scanning when included as part of the scope.
Document estimated electronic depth (ED) readings. Document site conditions and SUE information via photographs and/or video.
Perform video inspections of sewers when necessary. May perform Level C (QL-C) SUE, including surveying existing visible
