NOW HIRING: FLEET MECHANIC

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA & Iowa City, IA

FLEXIBLE 1ST SHIFT & 2ND SHIFT

PAY: $27-35/HR

Job Description
Main responsibility will be as a hands on fleet manager consisting of annual inspections, repairs on box trucks, tractors, 18 wheelers, minivans etc.
This candidate will ideally be ASE certified and either has their CDL or would willing to obtain one.
This role requires performing diagnostics to identify issues and effectively resolve them using hand and power tools.
The work involves regular interaction with the same customers, focusing on consistent types of repairs and maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
+ Triage and schedule repairs, service, inspect, diagnose based on importance +
Conduct oil changes and engine repairs.
+ Maintain comprehensive PM program (use of technology to log and track repairs) + Order parts and maintain inventory +
Use hand and power tools to disassemble and reassemble engines.

Work on vehicles that are 5 years old or newer.
+
Provide consistent service to regular customers.

Essential Skills
+ Experience in diesel mechanics, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs. + Knowledge of preventive maintenance, hydraulics, and brake systems. + 2+ years of experience working on engines, tractors, or heavy equipment. + ASE Certified
