Essential Duties
• Operate safely and in compliance with all established HSSE policies and procedures, promptly reporting and investigating all accidents, incidents, and injuries in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations. • Identify, plan, design, and implement processes and procedures to optimize resource use, improve services, and reduce costs. • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policy, and all applicable local, state, and federal laws. • Manage both Local and Linehaul dispatch operations, overseeing routing, scheduling, and dispatching of drivers, equipment, and freight loads, while ensuring efficient operations and timely reporting of activities. • Maximize equipment and driver utilization to create efficiencies between terminals. • Collaborate closely with Human Resources and Regulatory Compliance to maintain driver records and training. • Coordinate with Repair and Maintenance to ensure equipment is properly maintained and available for use. • Work with Terminal Managers daily to plan staffing, freight, and equipment movement. • Collaborate with Account Executives as necessary. • Assist Human Resources in recruitment and retention efforts. • Collaborate across departments to ensure accuracy with pay, hours worked, and benefits, fostering seamless communication and alignment to uphold employee satisfaction and compliance standards. • Oversee accurate and timely timekeeping records. • Manage professional development and productivity of staff members, ensuring proper goals, training, and project requirements are met. • Perform any other required duties
Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED equivalent required · Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics preferred · Five to seven years’ dispatching, or progressively responsible experience in the transportation industry including at least two years of supervisory experience · Experience with transportation industry-specific software · Valid Driver License, Class A CDL preferred
