Primary Responsibilities: + Maintain vehicles in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
+ Perform maintenance on assigned trucks and other equipment as required.
+ Complete pre and post-shift inspections and assist with maintenance or repair of equipment as needed.
+ Operate other yards/heavy equipment to move parts and materials if needed (i.e.
loaders, trucks, etc.).
+ Must record any maintenance issues in the truck logbook and ensure the supervisor is aware of any maintenance issues that would inhibit work production or create safety concerns.
+ Set up and tear down job sites when moving mining locations (i.e.
running cables, hoses, setting up blocks, tarping, shoveling aggregate, etc.).
+ Follow, enforce, and promote company safety standards at all times.
+ Assist with machine maintenance and repairs.
+ Unplug and shovel off conveyors/screens, change out screens, rollers, and cone liners, repair conveyor problems, and grease moving machine parts.
+ Team player mentality and eagerness to cross-train.
+ Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work as this job description is non-exhaustive.
Position Requirements: + Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test.
+ Class A or B CDL and current Medical DOT card.
+ Mechanical background and skills.
+ Possess excellent communication skills and understand instructions in both written and verbal forms.
+ Dependability and reliability by showing up to scheduled shifts on time and being prepared for work.
+ A positive attitude is critical to ensure productive working relationships with co-workers and management.
+ Continuous exposure to weather elements including heat, cold, noise, dusty conditions, and working outdoors.
+ Overnight travel is not standard but may be required.
