Position Summary:
The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders, and other construction machinery.
This role ensures the operational reliability of equipment critical to our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on heavy equipment. - Conduct routine maintenance and service on equipment to ensure peak performance. - Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. - Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed. - Collaborate with equipment operators to identify issues and recommend solutions. - Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during all repairs and maintenance. - Utilize diagnostic tools and technology to assess equipment performance. - Order and maintain inventory of necessary parts and tools.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role. - High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred. - Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. - Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and tools. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. - Physical ability to lift heavy parts and tools and work in challenging environments. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required).
