Plant Nursery Worker Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Nursery Worker.
The ideal candidate should have experience or be willing to learn how to operate machinery such as a skid steer and/or tractor.
A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred but not required.
This role requires a strong work ethic and the ability to work on Fridays and Saturdays, as these are our busiest days of the week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate farm machinery, including skid steers and tractors, for various tasks such as tilling, planting, and harvesting. - Manually plant, cultivate, and harvest vegetables, fruits, nuts, horticultural specialties, and field crops. - Use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, and knives to perform various tasks. - Till soil, apply fertilizers, transplant, weed, thin, and prune crops. - Apply pesticides and perform other necessary maintenance tasks to protect crops. - Participate in the cleaning, grading, sorting, packing, and loading of harvested products. - Assist with the construction of trellises, fence repairs, and general farm building maintenance. - Participate in irrigation activities as needed.

Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of plants and agriculture is preferred but not required. - Ability to operate machinery such as skid steers, tractors, or similar equipment. - Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor outdoors in varying weather conditions. - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. - Ability to work on Fridays and Saturdays consistently, as these are our busiest days.
