JOB
Requirements: Field Work & Maintenance: o Assist in the
installation, maintenance, and repair of pump systems and well systems
with increasing independence.
o Perform routine maintenance and
troubleshooting tasks on pumps, motors, and related systems under
supervision.
o Help diagnose issues in pump systems and suggest possible
solutions with guidance.
o Participate in water sampling and system
monitoring activities.
Equipment Operation & Maintenance: o Operate a
wider variety of equipment (e.g., small machinery, power tools, and
vehicles) with supervision and safety protocols.
o Perform basic
maintenance and checks on machinery, tools, and vehicles used in the
field.
o Report equipment malfunctions and assist in diagnosing and
solving issues when they arise.
Safety & Compliance: o Ensure that job
sites are clean and organized by following safety procedures, securing
equipment, and using proper PPE.
o Follow safety regulations closely,
with a focus on minimizing risks during work processes.
o Assist in
maintaining logs for safety and operational procedures and help report
safety issues.
Customer & Team Relations: o Develop stronger
communication with customers and ensure a professional and positive
interaction while at job sites.
o Collaborate with team members to
ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to company standards.
o Begin
to take on a larger role in coordinating field tasks, under the guidance
of the lead technician.
Learning & Development: o Take part in
on-the-job training, including improving technical skills related to
pump and well services.
o Continue to expand knowledge of
water/wastewater systems and the tools used in the field.
o Start to
demonstrate more independence and confidence in troubleshooting and
system installation.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Education & Experience: o High school diploma or equivalent.
o 1-3 years
of experience in a field-related role (e.g., plumbing, mechanical
systems, or pump/well operations).
o Ability to read technical manuals
and apply instructions to on-site tasks.
o Basic understanding of
mechanical and electrical systems is beneficial.
Licensing &
Certifications: o A valid driver's license is required.
o Ability to
obtain OSHA 10/30 Hour Construction Safety Certification within the
first year of employment.
o Confined Space Entry certification is a
plus.
o Commercial Driver's License (CDL) may be required.
Physical &
Mental Aptitudes: o Ability to perform labor-intensive tasks in outdoor
conditions (e.g., heat, cold, rain, etc.).
o Comfort in working in
confined spaces and following established safety guidelines.
o Ability
to follow detailed instructions and adapt quickly to changing job site
conditions.
Skills & Abilities: o Knowledge of hand tools, power tools,
and mechanical equipment.
o Ability to contribute to problem-solving and
troubleshoot basic issues.
o Strong communication skills, with the
ability to work effectively with team members and customers.
o Good time
management skills and the ability to work independently when necessary.
Preferred
Qualifications: Experience in pump installation, water well
drilling, or related mechanical work.
Technical training in a related
field (e.g., plumbing, mechanical technology, or water systems).
Willingness to pursue professional certifications such as First Aid/CPR,
Confined Space Entry, and additional pump installation or water systems
certifications.
Work Environment: Work will be performed outdoors in
varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and exposure
to chemicals.
Occasional travel and overnight stays for out-of-town
projects.
On-call availability may be required for emergency services.
Additional Notes: All other duties as assigned to perform work for the
company and/or clients.

As an Apprentice level role, you will have
the chance to gain hand -on experience and grow into a full Pump
Installer/Operator role with time and proficiency.
Install or replace
machinery, equipment, and new or replacement parts and instruments,
using hand or power tools.
Examine and test machinery, equipment,
components, and parts for defects to ensure proper functioning.
Tend and
observe equipment and machinery to verify efficient and safe operation.
Adjust, connect, or disconnect wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts,
using hand or power tools.
Clean or lubricate vehicles, machinery,
equipment, instruments, tools, work areas, and other objects, using hand
tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment.
Hold or supply tools, parts,
equipment, and supplies for other workers.
Transfer tools, parts,
equipment, and supplies to and from work stations and other areas.
Adjust, maintain, and repair tools, equipment, and machines, and assist
more skilled workers with similar tasks.
Design, weld, and fabricate
parts, using blueprints or other mechanical plans.
Apply protective
materials to equipment, components, and parts to prevent defects and
corrosion.
