Duties: A Sanitation Supervisor performs difficult supervisory work involving responsibility for the maintenance and proper management of landfills and equipment in accordance with engineering plans developed for each site.
Work performed is under the general supervision of the Deputy Director of Public Works (Environment) allowing wide leeway for the exercise of independent judgment in the tasks performed.
Immediate supervision is exercised over the motor equipment operators, attendants and laborers of each sanitary landfill site.
Does related work as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and five (5) years of experience in the operation or supervision of heavy motor equipment in a solid waste industry, at least three (3) years of which shall have been in a responsible supervisory capacity.
