BASIC PURPOSE:
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk supports the functions of the corporate mailroom by handling incoming and outgoing packages, tracking inventory, keeping accurate records, packaging and weighing items, printing shipping labels and postage, inspecting goods received for damage, and distributing products to other departments and customers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Ensure inbound and outbound mail and packages are routed properly and in a timely manner + Properly assemble fulfillment packets as needed + Ensure supplies are in stock and place orders as needed + Maintain an organized workplace + Maintain an organized supply closet + Take out trash on days cleaning crew is not scheduled + Maintain an organized daily routine and organization of documents + Maintain organized storage facilities and document inventory + Recognize data that may need specific actions taken and properly notify the Operations Manager + Properly complete various forms of paperwork needed to handle shipping and mailing + Properly code postage and shipping to different departments + Notify supervisor when daily routine is complete to receive new assignments + Maintain proper records of attendance + Assist Director of Sales Support as needed + All other duties as assigned and required.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Requirements
+ HS Diploma (or G.E.D.) required
Professional Experience
+ Experience in shipping preferred.
Licenses, Certificates, Credentials, and Other Requirements
+ Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation + Must be able to type at least 30 WPM + Must be able to operate a computer, use the internet and be familiar with 10-key + Must be familiar with Microsoft Office + Must be familiar with postage and mailing requirements
Skill Sets
+ Excellent verbal and written (both typed and handwritten) communication + Strong attention to detail with desire to optimize procedures and processes + Highly self-motivated and results oriented + Ability to perform in a high-energy, dynamic and team-oriented environment + Ability to think independently and problem solve

Physical Requirements
+ Some travel required. + While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be required to: Stand, walk, sit for long periods of time, use hands to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs and/or ladders, maintain balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear. + The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds or more than 50 pounds with aid of equipment such as but not limited to a wheeled dolly + Specific vision abilities may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Environmental
+ Position will be assigned to an office work environment + Employee will be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time (including occasional visits to field work sites, if applicable). + The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Schedule
+ 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (may be required to work more than 40 hours per week as needed)

+ The location assignment is at the corporate office. + This location is subject to change and/or the position may be required to operate in additional locations.
