This position drives a Salvation Army truck to pick-up and transport materials to and from specified destinations as assigned while consistently representing The Salvation Army with a professional and polite demeanor and providing exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Operations Act as a personal representative of The Salvation Army, ensuring all donors are treated courteously and respectfully Follow routing procedures as scheduled Communicate donation acceptance policy with donors and report any pickup problems to the dispatcher Support beneficiaries to maximize work therapy goals through training and mentoring Maintain a neat appearance in accordance with ARC dress code policy for drivers Vehicle & Safety Management Conduct daily pre and post-trip inspections of air, water, oil, lights, etc.
to maintain equipment in excellent working order Ensure compliance with all DOT and OSHA regulations and requirements Immediately report any safety or security concerns to management, including accidents involving truck, personal injury, or property damage Use efficiency and care to ensure the security and safe handling of all goods and materials Wear all assigned PPE provided, including but not limited to gloves, masks, or back guard Transportation & Logistics Responsible for loading and unloading of trucks as needed Communicate effectively using the DSS program and other apps as assigned on iPad Available for flexible scheduling, including early shifts, late shifts, and some weekends Qualifications Required Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) [Class appropriate for trucks operated] Clean driving record Ability to pass DOT physical examination Physical ability to lift and move heavy items Strong customer service skills Excellent communication abilities Proficiency with mobile devices and basic apps Physical Requirements Must be able to...
