D.M.Bowman has been in business since 1959. We are annually ranked in the top one-half percent for safety by the Fed Govt. We are asset based and operate 330 trucks and about 1,100 trailers. We are asset based and non-union. Our drivers are all HazMat trained. All our drivers are uniformed and monitored 24/7 by a GPS system which feeds our management of any hard braking or high speeds. Additionally we have warehouse/distribution facilities near our HQ in Williamsport and Hagerstown, MD (over one million square ft), in Indianapolis (70,000 sq ft) and in Forest Park,GA,near the Atlanta Airport (41,200 sq ft). We have a computer program for customers to view the location of their freight in live time. From regional van to bulk, flatbed and JIT transportation services to warehousing, inventory management, distribution and value-added services, D. M. Bowman, Inc. is ready and fully committed to be your total transportation and logistics provider. We offer haz-mat services in all of our operations, have CTPAT cross border certification, TWICS drivers and are SmartWay Certified.
D. M. Bowman is well known for their dedicated fleet services. D. M. Bowman will offer all the advantages of a private fleet without all of the associated costs.
For many years, D. M. Bowman has provided short-haul and long-haul services to many areas of the country requiring the use of flatbed, bulk tanker, and other specialty equipment. Our flatbed trailers are 48-foot lightweight aluminum composite with coil racks, chains, and straps. We have dry-bulk pneumatic tankers. We have experience in transporting building materials, steel, and agri/chemical products, asphalt; and the requirements of mineral handling.
